My Fear on Aging The alarm of aging is a natural response to the temporariness of life. I fear aging because it permeates my life with impermanence, fragility, and the fact of perishing. The finale of aging is the impermeable mystery of my own desertion. To understand the fear of aging is to come across somewhat greater than myself, something that is too large and capacious for me to clasp or control. Aging is an underlying ground in my life that gives rise to a glut of weary and dark themes of dependence, loneliness, isolation, frailty, poverty , vulnerability, elder abuse, loss of mobility, decline of the senses , ageism, chronic disease , exile, and lack of purpose in other people’s life and myself.
